A Request for Health Care Reform Information for the Public
I just received this email today.
Mr. Durenberger,
I recently heard, from a friend who had attended a conference at which you spoke, that you are working on supporting Obamacare as it is a beginning toward health care reform. I wonder why there isn’t MORE, & more readily visible, info to the public? I have been seeing a really upsetting, stupid ad on TV in which a “Dr. Amy…” Somebody or other claims that Obamacare may not allow her to treat her patients, & then goes on illogically to complaining about how many millions of $$$$ it will increase the deficit &, again illogically, claims we really do not know how much it’ll cost!
What can be done to counteract these kinds of very emotional, irrational, misinformed (maybe rather, “UNinformed”) portrayals.
How can I, as an individual citizen, help promote those things, like Obamacare and other programs that truly do make us a democracy that attempts to provide for all of its citizens? Besides contributing to the organizations who attempt to counteract the false, misleading, emotional, radical stance of the right wing? I truly fear for the future of our nation and it’s people.
